DEPUTY GOVERNOR FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS ON EASTER

As Christendom Celebrates Easter, Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo has enjoined Christians in the State to imbibe the spirit of love, peace and selfless service to humanity as exemplified by the Saviour of the World, Jesus Christ.

Dr. Banigo, in a statement issued by her Press Secretary, Paul Damgbor, called on Believers to use the period to rededicate themselves to God and reflect on the significance of Easter, which is the bedrock of the Christian faith.

The Deputy Governor used the opportunity to appeal to Religions leaders in the State to preach to their followers on the danger of political desperation and violence even as INEC plans another re-run elections in the 8 Local Government Areas where elections were cancelled in the State.

She felicitated with Christians in the spirit of the season and enjoined them to continue to pray for the peace of the State and Nigeria at large.
